Mrs. Vicky Avina
Hi! I’m Vicky, a Southern California based photographer who loves to document how people behave and engage with their own cultures and environments. I get a kick out of proving to people just how essential their everyday lives are. The entire process is a rush. I don't shy away from photographing in homes that are lived in, in fact I welcome it. If you're looking for instagram ready photos a.k.a staged or performed, I am not your gal.
Who I am, though, is a new mother to a fussy but beautiful little baby girl. I am also a dog mom to two blue heelers and a yorkie terrier. I am the wife to a hardworking man with a crude sense of humor. I laugh way too easily at “dad” jokes. I love spending time with my family and a few lifelong friends. If you love the simple things in life and value the smaller memorable moments, then I'm your gal!
My Little family

My Love and I
Nick and I are high school sweethearts and complete opposites. Picture a very structured and organized firefighter with an artsy-fartsy, curly haired Photographer. We keep each other balanced! The few things we do have in common are what matter most; our love for each other and our baby, our passion toward our careers, and going camping.
Our Little Elena
After doing a quick google search on scorpios, I fear what this little girl is going to put us through will cause some extra gray hair growth. That's okay! For now, we will simply appreciate the extra snuggles and silly smiles she gives us with her tongue out. Her funky little personality helps ease my adjustment to this thing called motherhood.

Our Blue Heelers - Buster & Baby Girl
These two blue heelers showed up on our property on a snowy night in late December of 2021. They never left, so we fostered them and even helped the female give birth to 7 puppies. We never heard back from any of the shelters, vets, or online groups. After we found loving and committed homes for the puppies, we officially decided to go from fostering to adopting them. Buster (The lazy one laying down to the left), is all about love. He wants to be pet every moment of every day. Baby Girl (The crazy one in the air with the ball), is our little spaz. She's all energy and wants to play fetch with her favorite red ball one hundred percent of the time.
Our Maggy
My husband and I rescued Maggy in 2014. I was going through a rough patch in life and, my then boyfriend now husband, thought it would be a good idea to get a dog. Over the years we've learned many things about her. She sleeps a lot, has arthritis, is allergic to almost everything (dust, grass, trees, most veggies, most meats), she doesn't like men or any long sticks (brooms, mops, etc.). Although she's one expensive little animal she's also the most loving, chill, and cutest addition to our family. She's all bark and no bite. As most rescue animals are, she definitely knows she has it good with us and has never tried to leave us.
